Après la revente du Tour Operator Nouvelles Destinations que j’avais développé pendant plus de 15 ans sur le marché français, je décidai de réaliser un rêve de longue date… Partir vivre à l’étranger.
Originaires du sud de la France, nous recherchions une île au climat agréable toute l’année et offrant une large palette de curiosités au milieu d’une population conviviale.
Sur les conseils d’une amie, nous sommes arrivés une première fois à Bali en septembre 2009 pour découvrir l’île durant un petit mois.
Ce fut le véritable coup de foudre ! On nous avait prévenus, si tu viens une première fois à Bali et que tu y retournes, la seconde fois… Tu y restes !
Un an plus tard, c’est à Séminyak que nous posions nos sacs à dos et les 20 kg de souvenirs de l’Hexagone dans une petite villa typiquebalinaise.
C’est en découvrant Canggu et son célèbre spot de surf Echo Beach que nous sommes tombés amoureux de ce coin de Bali. Tout leconfort et la tranquillité de la « campagne » à deux pas de la ville.
C’est au milieu des rizières et à quelques minutes de la plage que notre cœur a battu à l’unisson quand on a fait nos premiers pas sur le terrain où est né UNITED COLORS OF BALI.
