With my 3 kids (12 14 15) we have spent a very good time in this learning hotel part of a school with 800 students. Every day 4 students are doing the hotel tasks in the morning and in the afternoon. The are very nice and try always their best. Most of hotels hosts are volunteers from NGO. Niko, the hotel manager is very kind and helpful. He has arranged our trip to Lovina stopping at Jatlhuwi rice fields (600kRp) our climb to Mt Batur with a 3am start to see the sun rise (400kRp). The guide price was really expensive (65 USD per person, we could négociate 130USD for 4; but we understood then the official prices are 400kRp for a guide + 100kRp per person. Additionnaly we could attend a school ceremony we local danses, offerings, gamelan music... very nice. Breakfast is included, prepared and served by students (fruit plate, smoothie, tea, coffee, toast...), For lunch and diner a warung is located 200m from the hotel with good food and cheap prices. Beds and room are ok (No AC, but at 800m of altitude it's not necessary) . Noise from frogs can be heard in the night and school noise starting from 7am. All in all a good stay for us.
